Life of a Business Owner

First 100 days

Theodor Roosevelt coined the term “first 100 days”. 13 significant laws were enacted during this period. Since then, the first 100 days of a presidential time has taken on symbolic significance, and the period is considered a benchmark to measure the early success of a president.

I suggest we can use the same logic to evaluate all new c-level hires.
If your VP of Sales did not hire at least one salesman that beat his quota during the first 100 days, he would not be able to create great sales department.
If your VP of Marketing could not bring in new customers during the first 100 days, this will not happen later.
If your head of operations did not improve business processes during the first 100 days, he would not do it later.
If your head of Product did not improve Product metrics during the first 100 days, this would not happen later.
What’s your take on it?
